The dual nature of thoughts.

On average, a human mind gets over 60,000 thoughts, that's almost 15 thoughts a second and it's true that we do not have so much energy to focus on each and every thought.

However, there are certain thoughts that uplift your energy, that makes you do more, inspires you to face challenges, do greater things that otherwise seem like a challenge. I call these “rocket” thoughts as these take you beyond your normal reach.

While there are thoughts that slowly creep into your mind and build a nest in there; They would be from your loved ones who perhaps might have spoken things out of misunderstandings, a small figure might have brought in thoughts, the words from your best friend, an adored teacher and so on.

If these thoughts are meant to cause you pain or take a lot of time and energy to solve or overcome, then I call these “missile” thoughts as these have the destructive power.

They take the good moments from you and time that is most valuable and limited. More importantly, they destroy your growth for a while. So do you ignore them?

Not really, if the thoughts are from the people who care for you, then they would not think evil for you. Spend time in understanding what they actually mean, spend time knowing whether there is something you can do about.

Even a stopped clock gives the right time twice a day.

However fix a time to solve it, but do not go to an extent that you lose yourself to it. The person who truly understands you doesn't need an explanation.

Spend time knowing the true meaning of words, but spend more time improving yourself. You cannot satisfy everyone in the world. The only person “you” need to satisfy and make happy is “you”.

Life is to express yourself, not to impress others. – unknown source.
