How you can fill your palette with the right colours!

I saw an artist on the street as I was passing by. He had displayed some of his best collections. I was awestruck by his work and observed as he painted in front of an audience surrounding him in large numbers, in no time. He took out a sponge and a large canvas. He went on to wet the edges of the sponge with red, white, blue, crimson and a few other colours as he flaunted his mastery of the canvas.

The colours were vivid and with each stroke, he brought the canvas to life. It was as if the sponge had a mysterious ability. With each added stroke, the painting was taking shape, leaving us all in awe of the masterpiece!

Let me take a moment to better explain this analogy. The sponge represents our mind, the canvas our reality and the colours represent our inputs to the mind.

Every day we consume a large amount of information from different sources. We gossip, hang out with friends and we interact with the internet on brightly lit screens. We are led by a million thoughts in the form of remarks, trolls, criticism, opinions and eventually lose control over our own minds. Each input evokes a different feeling, leaving behind an impression in the form of a variety of emotions ranging from anger, empathy, love and a whole lot more. When we receive…
